Personnel, modernization – top priorities for security sector

A sitting of the Consultative Council on National Security headed by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria heard out reports on the risks and threats to national security, the state the national security system structures and bodies are in as well as the measures aimed at guaranteeing the security of the country.

After the discussions President Rumen Radev stated that the participants in the council had agreed that the contemporary security environment was very dynamic and that upgrading personnel and modernization projects must be top priorities in the security sector.
