The European Commission is ready to give more time to Bulgaria to absorb the EUR 160 million allotted to that country for protection of its state borders, a letter of EU Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos reads. We received a letter from Commissioner Avramopoulos on Friday which informed us that the European Council was ready to extend the deadline with 12 months, Bulgaria’s Minister of Interior Valentin Radev announced.
