Raspberry festival in Loznitsa begins

The annual Raspberry Festival held in the town of Loznitsa (Northeast Bulgaria) began with a solemn ceremony. The festival programme envisages visits to new raspberry plantations, raspberry honey pack-houses, fresh raspberries processing plants, as well as demonstrations of technical and scientific achievements in the field of raspberry production. The Association of Raspberry Producers in Bulgaria announced that currently Bulgaria ranks third in Europe in terms of raspberry production and 80% of the whole produce in that sector is exported.
