Burgas, Varna, Sofia, Dobrich and Blagoevgrad are Bulgaria’s most-preferred cities for foreign tourists

Burgas, Varna, Sofia, Dobrich and Blagoevgrad are the five most-preferred destinations for foreign tourists, data of the National Statistical Institute show. On the other hand, Greece, Turkey, Macedonia, Serbia and Romania are the five most-preferred tourist destinations for the Bulgarian citizens. In 2016 Germany, Russia, Macedonia, Turkey, Romania and Serbia topped the ranking of foreign citizens visiting Bulgaria for holiday and recreation purpose.
