The Bulgarian Emko army ammunition factory has had its trading license restored. The Interdepartmental Council for the Defense Industry and Security has restored the license. The problem with the license taken away over violations and omissions which blocked the plant’s trade relations for three months costs the loss of markets and has resulted in unsold produce worth millions of euro, because the state-run Kintex arms trading company terminated its contract with Emko and started exporting to the same markets the produce of another Bulgarian ammunition plant. This prompted fresh protests of Emko workers today outside the Council of Ministers.
