The Saint Electrics rock band includes Miroslav Ivanov (guitars, vocals, keyboard), Grisha Georgiev (lead vocal and bass) and Deyan Dragiev (drums). Over the years the names of the musicians have been known from different formations in which they performed - "Sapho," "Metaфormoза," “Funkalero,” "Portokal", "Matakka," Panican Whyasker and Babyface Clan. Miroslav Ivanov has also released an instrumental album. In 2008 he formed Saint Electrics, but it was in 2014 when together with Grisha and Deyan, the guitarist started doing what he wanted – modern rock. This spring, the band's name gained popularity during BNR’s Rock and Pop Music Contest "Spring 2017." Jury and listeners of the national media chose Saint Electrics as the best band. Thus, the three musicians won the grand prize of the contest - a solo concert at the Groningen Festival in the Netherlands in January 2018.

The debut album of the band, entitled Keep Me Calm, is already a fact. The recording was made in the town of Harmanli. Grisha Georgiev tells why everything is happening there:

“Harmanli is my home town. We recorded the songs in the studio of the community center there. This is the studio where my first contact with music took place when I was a child and I am closely connected with this place. My father is a guitarist of the ‘Slaviani’ band and it was the musicians from this band who built the studio. The song "Locked in This Town" from our debut album tells part of this story - how a man from a small town wants to travel and get to know the world. But a time comes when the opposite happens - you start feeling nostalgic and want to go back home, to your roots where you find positive emotion.”

The album was recorded by Konstantin Raidovski, who works in the Bulgarian National Radio; Gospodin Gospodinov - Gepy has mastered the recordings and he also shot the video for the song Burning Bitter Sour Romance. Another important figure is trumpeter Rossen Zahariev - Roco. He participated in one of the concerts of Saint Electrics. Miro's idea was to mix rock with Rocco's jazz sound. Keep Me Calm contains 10 rock pieces; two of them have videos. Miroslav Ivanov spoke about the work on this project:

“Some of the songs are mine and some are by Grisha. Each song is different. We all participate in the creative process. One gives ideas, another develops them, and the arrangements are made in the process of playing in the studio. But I can say that I have written more of the music, while Grisha – more of the lyrics of this album. Saint Electrics is the best compilation of all the formations we played in. This is not just our opinion, but also of our fans, who have followed our work in other bands. Currently there is no other band like this in Bulgaria.”

After winning the Spring 2017 prize of the Bulgarian National Radio, Saint Electrics had a number of concerts in the country. In order to thank everyone who helped in recording the album and sponsored the video to Locked in This Town, the three musicians had two concerts in Harmanli. Concerts in Burgas, Sofia, Plovdiv, and other towns followed.

In anticipation of the show promoting the debut album of Saint Electrics - Keep Me Calm, Miro Ivanov says:

“On October 27th, we invited blues musician Vasko Krapkata to a club in Sofia. He, with his harmonica, performs in one of our tracks. Everyone in the audience will receive get an album with their concert ticket. The logo on our album was made by Georgi Panchev.”

Miroslav Ivanov, Grisha Georgiev and Deyan Dragiev of the Saint Electrics rock band hope that Keep Me Calm would reach foreign scenes, too. We wish them success with concerts in this country and the festival in Groningen in the Netherlands in January 2018.
