Kurdish network for human trafficking through Bulgaria busted

A Kurdish network for trafficking of migrants from Bulgaria to Western Europe has been busted, the Specialized Prosecutor's Office has announced. Seven were charged for participation in an organized criminal group with four of them remaining in custody. The group is organized and led by Kurds who have trafficked migrants from Iraq, Iran and Syria through Bulgaria, Serbia or Romania to Western European countries. People paid EUR 2000 to be transferred from Turkey to Sofia.
