Bulgarian Presidency of Council of European Union must accentuate on topic related to political enlargement of EU as well

Migration, security, Europe’s development and the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union were in the focus of discussions between Bulgaria’s Vice President Iliana Iotova and the Italian Ambassador to Sofia Stefano Baldi. Iliana Iotova pointed out that during its rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU Bulgaria should make a step forward with regard to the economic and infrastructure connectivity with the countries from the Western Balkans and also accentuated on the topic regarding the political enlargement of the European Union. Italy’s Ambassador to Bulgaria Stafano Baldi welcomed the news that the Western Balkans will be in the focus of the Bulgarian Foreign Policy during its Presidency of the Council of the EU. Iliana Iotova and H.E. Stefano Baldi were positive that all European countries must show solidarity to solve the migration crisis. Vice President Iotova and Ambassador Baldi also discussed common topics such as demographic crisis, education problems and employment.
