Bulgaria to take part in EC project with three innovation hubs

Bulgaria will take part in the EC’s Smart Factories in new EU Member States project with three innovation hubs.

140 candidates from Central and Eastern Europe applied for the shortlist of 34 hubs. The project aims to ensure SMEs better access to expertise in the sphere of digital technologies. Bulgaria has the fastest developing IT sector in Southeast Europe. Activities in IT account for over 30 percent of Bulgaria’s production, with the number of people employed in this sphere being over 51,000.
