At a meeting with the Ambassadors of the Arab countries in Sofia Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva said that along with developing its relations with the Western Balkan countries another priority of Bulgaria during the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union is to restore the traditionally good relations with the Arab world. Bulgaria has a long-term and strategic vision for the development of relations with the Arab world which does not only boil down to paying separate visits. The Bulgarian cabinet is working towards establishing new diplomatic missions in this region. A Bulgarian embassy in the United Arab Emirates was already unveiled. Bulgaria will soon open an embassy in Saudi Arabia as well and like many other European countries it is considering restoring its mission in Libya, Minister Zaharieva further said.
