Final declaration of EU-Western Balkans Summit approved by all 28 EU member states

The final declaration of the EU-Western Balkans Summit, which is yet to be signed, has been approved by all 28 EU member states and will be supported by all leaders of the six Balkan countries, Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva assured, the Bulgarian National Radio informs. Spain is yet to decide whether it will take part at the EU-Western Balkans summit. The Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy arrives in Sofia on Tuesday evening to meet Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov. Premier Rajoy will attend the working meeting of the European leaders on Wednesday evening on the eve of the EU-Western Balkans summit which will be held on May 17 (Thursday). The EU-Western Balkans Summit is historical. I welcome the leadership of the Bulgarian government for the European perspective of the region, the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Elizabeth Millard told Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier Ekaterina Zaharieva during their working meeting in Sofia on Tuesday, the press center of the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
