Bulgaria offers to help Greece cope with wildfires

In a telephone conversation with Greece’s Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov stated Bulgaria was ready to assist Greece in tackling the raging wildfires.

Bulgaria is offering to help with manpower and technology, including with the Bulgarian ground forest firefighting module. The Bulgarian prime minister expressed his deepest sympathy with the victims of the fires raging in Greece, and their families. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva sent a telegram of condolence to the Foreign Minister of Greece Nikos Kotzias.
