On June 1, 2019 EURid (European Registry for Internet Domains) organization which is appointed by the European Commission as the domain name registry that operates the .eu top level domain and its variants in other scripts .ею (.eu in Cyrillic) will remove from its registry all domain names written in Cyrillic and using the Latin extension .eu. The organization will undertake this step in order to reduce confusion caused by mixing Cyrillic and Latin when writing the domain names, Julian Borislavov, CEO and Founder of ICN.BG hosting company (accredited registry of EURid) commented. In other words, if the name of the website is: www.cайт. eu, the domain must be redirected to www.сайт.ею.
