Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev vetoed some of the amendments to the Administrative Procedure Code adopted by the Bulgarian National Assembly just before the start of its summer recess. Bulgaria’s head of state vetoes 16 decrees which in Rumen Radev’s view deform traditional principles and achievements of the administrative law, reduce the intensity of protection of the citizens’ rights and do not foster the role of the administrative justice as a defender of the ordinary citizen from unlawful actions and arbitrariness of the administration.
