Bulgarian government to prepare plan for repairing all risky bridges across country

After the tragic accident in Genoa, where a bridge collapsed, the Bulgarian government decided to prepare a plan for simultaneous repairs of all risky road and rail bridges in this country.

According to Minister of Regional Development, Nikolay Nankov, road infrastructure in this country includes bridges that are over 40 years old. A total of 211 road bridges need repairs. 34 out of them are part of highways in the country, as 17 of them are in poor condition.
