Prime Minister Boyko Borissov met with the Foreign Minister of Turkey Süleyman Soylu in Sofia.
The two discussed cooperation in security, restriction of migratory pressure, combatting contraband and organized crime.
“For Bulgaria, as for the EU, Turkey is a strategic partner, a friendly neighbouring country, a NATO ally and an important factor in the sphere of security and public order. The stable and sustainable development of bilateral relations is a priority for Bulgaria’s policy,” Boyko Borissov said. The Bulgarian PM added that trust can be strengthened at a faster pace through the exchange of information.
