5 offers for Sofia Airport concession tender received

5 offers have been received for the Sofia Airport concession tender. Offers will be revealed on May 9, IFC reported. The World Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have been helping the Bulgarian Ministry of Transport in organizing the conduct the tender by applying the best world practices. The EBRD is pleased that the concession has attracted 5 international players with extensive experience and proven success, commented Larisa Manastirli, EBRD Director for Bulgaria said. The investor, who proposed a combination of the highest annual installment and the best airport development concept, would win. The winner must also pay fixed initial payment of 281 million euros.
