The law does not allow people to drive electric scooters on the roads of Sofia. Those who move with them in the streets of Bulgaria’s capital will receive fines, the head of Traffic Police-Sofia Commissioner Lyubomir Kostadinov announced. However, Commissioner Kostadinov did not answer whether people are allowed to drive electric scooters on the sidewalks. Electric scooters have been gaining huge popularity in the recent months. Recently, a company started to rent electric scooters in Sofia with the support of Sofia Municipality.
