Experienced knitters of fishing nets will tell stories about the life and the work of the people from the ancient fishing villages, some of which are well-preserved along the Black Sea coastline. The citizens of Burgas want to keep this ancient craft alive. That is why, the fishing village of Chengene Skele will become a real tourist attraction. It is situated some 15 kilometers away from Burgas on the beautiful Gipsy Bay. The village allows visitors to feel the romance of the fishing profession. One of the best-preserved structures of nets which rises 20 meters above the sea surface can be seen there. The fishers remember with nostalgia how they were catching different Black Sea fish on a daily basis. Many of these fish species cannot be found anymore in the Black Sea and the fishing villages are turning into romantic places offering food and beverages to the tourists.
