The best Bulgarian athlete Ivet Lalova-Collio has received yet another form of recognition for her strong performance across 2019. She was selected as Best Athlete of the Balkans at the 9th Balkan Athletic Gala Night at the Association of Balkan Athletic Federations (ABAF) in Vrnjacka Banja (Serbia). Lalova, who became seventh at the 200 meters event from the planet's championship and a two-time Balkan champion in Pravets, received this distinction from Slobodan Brankovic, ABAF vice president and secretary general of the Serbian Athletic Federation. For Ivet, this is the second number 1 prize in the Balkans since 2011.
