“We need unity, solidarity and support more than ever before so as to stop the pandemic and address the grave social and economic consequences,” said Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva.

The video conference she took part in, with the foreign ministers of Greece, Romania, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Kosovo, focused on the social and economic consequences of Covid-19 for the Balkans. The foreign ministers agreed on setting up a regional health network for the treatment of patients and the safe restoration of tourism. With regard to transport, the participants reached the decision that the “green corridors” connecting the EU with the Western Balkans must remain open after the crisis.
