Interdepartmental anti-terrorist unit to assist State Intelligence Agency

The Bulgarian National Assembly adopted final amendments to the Intelligence Act. The MPs created an interdepartmental anti-terrorist unit with the State Intelligence Agency. EUR 767,000 will be allotted to the new unit. The anti-terrorist unit will fill in the missing component in the national counter-terrorism system. The unit will guarantee quick actions against people who are reported to carry out or prepare for terrorist acts.
