The National Coronavirus Headquarters has proposed that the fourteen-day mandatory quarantine for citizens arriving from EU countries, as well as from North Macedonia and Serbia, is lifted on June 1. The decision is based on data of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, Associate Professor Angel Kunchev announced. The 14-day quarantine will be kept only for citizens arriving from 8 European countries with highest levels of coronavirus infection registered in the past 2 weeks: Belgium, Italy, Malta, Spain, Partugal, Sweden, Ireland and Great Britain. The National Coronavirus Headquarters insists that measure for wearing face masks in closed public places with high concentration of people remains in place.
