For the third month in a row, production prices in Bulgaria are falling

Producer prices in Bulgaria in May 2020 continue to decline. This is shown by the data of the National Statistical Institute. On an annual basis, the general index of producer prices in the country in May decreased by 5.3% after falling by 4.3% in April and by 1.5% in March. This is the sharpest decline in producer prices since May 2016. 

Lower prices were registered in the manufacturing sector - a decrease of 7.0% compared to May 2019, in the mining industry - by 2.2% and in the production and distribution of electricity, heat and gas by 0.3 percent. 
The price index in the domestic market decreased in May by 0.6% compared to April and by 1.6% compared to May 2019. 
On the international market, the index decreased in May on a monthly basis by 1.7% and by as much as 10.7% on an annual basis (compared to May 2019).
