Industrial production in Bulgaria is at risk

Nearly 10% of the Bulgarian workers have been placed under quarantine since the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis. The number of paid sick leaves issued in connection with the coronavirus pandemic amounted to 27,000. Some enterprises risk suspending their business due to the lack of workforce, Dobrin Ivanov from the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association warned. 

In his words, the employer must decide himself whether to allow contacts to their workplaces while waiting for the actions of the health authorities. In Dobrin Ivanov’s words, such decision may lead to spread of coronavirus infection. Moreover, employers risk losing all their workers, Dobrin Ivanov said further.
