Bulgaria's Minister of Education Krasimir Valchev has proposed an increase in the minimum amount of the monthly scholarship for students from 36 to 44 euros and of the maximum amount - from 77 to 92 euros. The draft government decree has been published for public discussion.

The scholarship amounts have not been changed for 5 years, and the average scholarship for Bulgarian students is 55 euros per month, BTA reports.
The current amount of monthly scholarships for foreign students admitted to study in universities and research organizations in Bulgaria under intergovernmental agreements for educational, scientific and cultural exchange is preserved.
