On December 1, the Military Medical Academy celebrates 129 years since its establishment. The head of the institution and head of the National Operational Headquarters in the fight against Covid-19, Major General Ventsislav Mutafchiyski, sent a message to the medics on the front line, BTA reported.

"The world and Bulgaria went to war with an invisible enemy. As head of the academy, I am extremely proud that in these times of unprecedented tribulations, we have managed to stay united, fulfilling our duty to our patients. Thank you for keeping alive the spirit of our ancestors and for being worthy heirs to the founders of military medicine," Gen. Mutafchiyski said.
