Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) leader Mustafa Karadayi walked out of the Consultative Council on National Security convened by President Rumen Radev before the final declaration, stating that there was a shift away from the issues initially announced – a new Covid wave and migratory pressure.

Talking to reporters, Mustafa Karadayi described the demands of the caretaker cabinet for an update of the budget as an “empty check”, and for this reason the MRF is not going to support an update, BRN’s Daniel Inkov reports.

“The draft budget sets down 1.2 billion Leva (614 million euro) for exceptional and non-predictable expenditure, i.e. an empty check, following the GERB party model,” he said.
