An initiative committee has officially nominated Professor Anastas Gerdzhikov and Colonel Nevyana Miteva as candidates for President and Vice-President under the motto "Truly United".

"I am not a politician. I do not think or speak as a politician and I guess I will not become a politician. I am a Bulgarian like you, who is ready to take responsibility and pay the price for helping the people and the nation unite", said Professor Gerdzhikov. “I decided to take part at the Presidential elections and run for a Vice-President, because I believe that it is time to unite. Unity depends on everyone”, said Colonel Nevyana Miteva during the ceremony.
