President Radev to participate at EU-Western Balkans summit

The ЕU-Western Balkans Summit begins today in the Slovenian town of Brdo pri Kranju. Bulgaria is represented by President Rumen Radev. The plenary session of the summit will focus on the reaffirmation of the EU perspective of the Western Balkans.

Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi and Slovenia’s Premier Janez Janša have invited Bulgaria’s President Radev to a joint meeting with North Macedonia’s Premier Zoran Zaev. Later, Bulgaria’s head of state Radev is expected to meet with the French President Emmanuel Macron and North Macedonia’s Premier Zaev at the invitation of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
