Kenyan Duncan Koech wins the 38th edition of the Sofia Marathon

Duncan Koech (Kenya) won the 38th edition of the Sofia Marathon, which took place downtown Sofia, sportal.bg reported. Koech ran the 42.195-kilometer distance for 2:15:47 hours. Tubay Erdal from Turkey won the women’s competition. She stopped the clock at 2:34:30 minutes.

Ukrainian athletes won the 21-kilometer event. Bogdan Semyonovich (Ukraine) stopped the clock at 1:04:22. Natalia Semyonovich (Ukraine) ran the 21-kilometer distance for 1:17:47 hours.

Despite the rainy weather in Sofia, more than 2,500 people participated at this year’s edition of the Sofia Marathon. More than 800 people participated at the 21- kilometer event. The number of people who participated at the 10-kilometer event exceeded 1,200.
