Following an order issued by Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Education and Science Nikolay Denkov, all students from 1st to 12th grade in Sofia are shifting to distance learning as of October 21.

Minister Denkov’s order follows the order of Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov, which reads that all schools in a given municipality must shift to distance learning if coronavirus morbidity exceeds 750 new cases per 100,000 people.

Six Bulgarian districts-Sofia, Vidin, Gabrovo, Kyustendil, Montana and Pernik are to shift to online learning as of October 21, this country’s Ministry of Education and Science announced on its website.
