On November 5, the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra gives a concert in Bulgaria Concert Complex in Sofia. The orchestra’s chief conductor Mark Kadin has selected pieces such as “Leyenda de Miliano” by the contemporary Mexican composer Arturo Márquez Navarro, “Le Bœuf sur le toit” by Darius Milhaud, as well as two pieces by George Gershwin- “Cuban Overture” and “Rhapsody in Blue”. Trumpeter Miroslav Petkov is a soloist in the “Rhapsody in Blue”. The Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra is to perform “Rhapsody in Blue” for trumpet and orchestra by Timofei Dokshizer. Miroslav Petkov teaches trumpet at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He is principal trumpet at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the second Bulgarian in the prestigious orchestra after Vesko Eschkenazy.
The concert on November 5 marks the first performance of the young Bulgarian trumpeter as a soloist of the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra.
