The banks announced that the transaction includes the Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria subsidiaries Raiffeisen Leasing Bulgaria, Raiffeisen Asset Management (Bulgaria), Raiffeisen Insurance Broker and Raiffeisen Service. KBC Group has been present in the Bulgarian financial sector since 2007 and in 2009 identified Bulgaria as one of its main markets. Prior to the deal with Raiffeisen Bank, KBC Group owned 9 companies in Bulgaria offering various financial services.
