Stricter control of citizenship by investment up for discussion

The Ministry of Justice is proposing measures for stepping up control and transparency of the acquisition of citizenship by investment.

They have been published for public discussion and offer ways to make sure that the investment really has been made and has been maintained within the entire statutory period.  

“This will ensure that real foreign investments are attracted, jobs created and economic activity in the country stimulated, and will provide sufficient guarantees of national security and sovereignty,” the Foreign Ministry writes.
