The draft amendments to the Constitution, discussed by the presidential institution, do not envisage an expansion of its powers, Alexander Marinov, chairman of the Presidency’s Strategic Council said for the BNR.

"Rumen Radev has shown that when the president is in place and fully exercises his powers, he can play a significant role", Alexander Marinov added. In his words, Bulgaria should drive changes from the bottom up, taking into account the idea of greater citizen participation.
