The Supreme Judicial Council, SJC, has postponed the examination of the application by Justice Minister Nadezhda Yordanova for the early termination of the powers of Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev.

The judges ruled to draw up special procedure rules for the discussion first. According to Supreme Administrative Court President Georgi Cholakov who submitted the proposal, the participation of the minister of justice at the head of the Plenum should be reconsidered, as should the participation of the prosecutor general himself in the voting in connection with the decisions, as both are parties to the procedure. The proposal to postpone the discussion of the early termination of the powers of the prosecutor general was approved unanimously.
