This year, on the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, Bulgarian Education and Culture, and Slavonic Literature Day, May 24, Bulgaria solemnly celebrates 130 years since the writing of the hymn "Varvi, narode vazrodeni" (Go Ahead, You Revived People) by Stoyan Mikhailovsky.

On the occasion of the anniversary, as well as on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the installation of the monument to the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, Sofia citizens and guests are invited to join in the largest group performance of the Bulgarian all-school hymn.

The tone for the song will be set by the Choir of Sofia Schools, conducted by Maestro Slavil Dimitrov, and for the first time it will be performed in its entirety.

The organizers from Sofia Municipality invite all attendees to join in the singing. The full text will be written on the flags that will be distributed at the ceremony in front of the National Library, which starts at 11.00 am. Access to the monument to the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius is for free.
