BAS and 5 universitieas launch a programme to support Bulgarian studies abroad

The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences together with five universities in Bulgaria - Sofia University, Plovdiv University, Veliko Tarnovo University, Southwestern University and Shumen University - are launching a Bulgarian Studies programme to support Bulgarian language and culture. 

So far it is designed for a 3-year period, it is intended for young specialists in Bulgarian studies abroad. The programme will finance specializations of foreign young scholars or doctoral candidates in Bulgarian studies, providing stays of up to three months in Bulgaria. Applicants must be established foreign experts in the field who will conduct joint research with their Bulgarian colleagues. Visiting lectureships are also being planned.

Within the programme the University of Science and Technology "N. Rilski" has planned a lecture to show the beauty of the Rila and Pirin mountains, prof. Magdalena Kostova-Panayotova, Dean of the Faculty of Philology of the University told BNR-Blagoevgrad.
