Christmas tree lit in front of National Theatre building

The lights were lit last night on a 10-metre Christmas tree in front of the National Theatre building in Sofia. The ceremony was accompanied by a show called Genuine Christmas, with the participation of popular dance formations and singers, followed by a 3D mapping show on the façade of the theatre building.  The event was attended by many actors, as well as members of the public. Sofia city mayor Yordanka Fandakova wished everyone health and success.

The Christmas tree has custom-made champagne-coloured designer decorations, lights and garlands. Next to the tree there is a big throne with a frame for children to sit on, as well as a glowing teddy bear.
