All medalists from international science Olympiads to be granted scholarships

All pupils who have won medals from international science Olympiads, competitions or contests are now entitled to a scholarship, according to a government regulation on the protection of gifted children which comes into effect as of today.

Previously, scholarships amounting to a monthly 135 Leva /EUR 69/ for the space of one year, and one-off financial support were only granted to prize-winning pupils. The aim of this measure is to stimulate the development of talented children in the sphere of science at international formats.
