Marches in support of people with rare diseases held in several Bulgarian cities

For the second year running, marches in support of people with rare diseases were held in Sofia, Varna and Pleven. The initiative is held on the occasion of the World Rare Disease Day. It is organized by members of the Rare Diseases and Transplantation Section of the National Patients' Organization and is held under the auspices of Bulgaria’s Vice President Iliana Iotova.

Nearly 370, 000 people in Bulgaria have been diagnosed with a rare disease. The campaign aims to attract public and institutional attention to problems of people with rare diseases.
