Bulgaria’s Deputy Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov filed a report to the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office against Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev. The report contains allegations of possible crimes committed by the Prosecutor General Geshev.

Borislav Sarafov’s alert contains allegations of unauthorized recording of conversation involving the member of the Supreme Judicial Council Yordan Stoev. The second alert is connected with the use of the Prosecutor's Office's vacation house in Borovets as a personal residence. Sarafov also accuses Geshev of influencing the supervising prosecutor in the so-called “Barcelonagate” investigation against former Premier Boyko Borissov. The prosecutor's office confirmed that the alert had been received. An overseeing prosecutor will be selected through the system of random allocation of cases. Borislav Sarafov will also alert the Supreme Judicial Council to check whether the Prosecutor General has committed a disciplinary offence.
