Defense Ministry: The presidential institution manipulates public opinion

It is worrying that the presidential institution manipulates public opinion with false suggestions about military aid for Ukraine and thus fuels the disinformation campaign being waged against Bulgaria”, the press centre of the Ministry of Defense said in a statement in response to Vice President Iliana Iotova’s comments on Saturday. 

According to the Defense Ministry, “the Vice President is misleading the public by substituting the information about what our country is ready to offer to Ukraine with what Ukraine requested from Bulgaria”. “The Ministry of Defence has the full support of the government for the military aid to Ukraine, which was determined by a decision of the Parliament”, the statement of the Ministry of Defense further reads.
