Balkan trout swimming in Devinska River again

Photo: BTA

Mass fish stocking has been carried out in Devinska River after a large amount of Balkan trout died at the end of last week following accidental discharge of waste water into the river. Children from the local Fishing Club participated in the stocking with two-year-old trout.

According to the director of the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water in Smolyan, Ekaterina Gadzheva, there are no new leaks in the river, but there is still no report report available from the laboratory to the Executive Environment Agency, as five more days are needed for the results.
