"Attacks from the presidency started even before a government was formed - all the time from the presidency there have been attempts to prevent it from being formed and then to overthrow this government." This is what Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov told bTV on the occasion of the strained relations between the two institutions. Last night, President Rumen Radev said that the country is being run behind the scenes, pointing out that it doesn't matter what the Prime Minister says.

Nikolay Denkov also said that every attempt is being made to compromise the government. "A number of false arguments were used - for example, that our motives are political in demanding the resignation of the chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This is not true, they are professional and it was because of them that Petar Todorov resigned himself, because he knew there was a problem", added the Prime Minister.

According to him, a lot of things are being said in recent days that have no significant relation to what will change people's lives. "What matters are the laws that are adopted, what decisions the Council of Ministers makes, what the budget for 2024 will be," he said, emphasizing that the most important thing for the cabinet is to implement the announced program.
