About 30,000 tourists visit and register at the sites included in the “Come to Know Bulgaria – 100 National Tourist Sites” annually. In 2023, the number of tourists visiting the sites will rise thanks to a joint project of the Ministry of Education and the Bulgarian Tourist Union, the union's chairman Ventsislav Venev has told BNR.
Nearly 1,000 tourists collected 25 stamps and received bronze movement badges in 2023. 700 have collected 50 stamps and a silver badge, and over 330 have 100 stamps and a gold badge. The Bulgarian Tourist Union has also received award from the Ministry of Tourism for innovation in tourism for the digitization of the "100 National Tourist Sites" Movement. Together with one of the mobile operators, an application was developed allowing the paper booklets to be digitized as the stamps received are electronic. The digitization of the membership books of the union is also forthcoming.
