Mountain rescue is becoming part of the system for emergency medical assistance by air, Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeykov said during the presentation of Bulgaria’s first еmergency medical helicopter, acquired with European funding. Minister Gvozdeykov also said that the next two emergency medical helicopters that will arrive in Bulgaria will be equipped with a winch. According to the schedule, the second emergency medical helicopter will arrive in the middle of the year, and the third - at the end of 2024.
