Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev visited the town of Bansko to watch the Men’s World Cup slalom. He also meet with the local authorities. Rumen Radev said he will comply with the Constitution for the cabinet rotation on March 6. He will hold consultations with the parliamentary groups and will hand a governing-forming mandate to the biggest one- GERB/SDS.

Asked whether Mariya Gabriel should keep the position of foreign minister when she becomes Prime Minister, Bulgaria’s head of state said that he does not want to interfere in the work of the government and that this issue should be solved by the coalition partners. In his words, Bulgarian citizens are left with the impression that it does not matter who the ministers will be because " it is evident that decisions are taken by other people elsewhere". According to Rumen Radev, the important thing is whether there will be a stable government or it will be dependent.

"Solving the case related to the murder of Martin Bozhanov aka the Notary and his influence on magistrates and politicians will determine whether Bulgaria will continue to develop as a democratic and rule-of-law state," said Rumen Radev. President Radev also reminded that society expects results from the work of institutions regarding other significant crimes. In his words, the talk about constitutional reform and the rule of law are crashing into reality in which Bozhanov could have been a broker between the mafia and the judiciary only with political protection.
