Bulgaria will organize the European Kickboxing Cup. The decision was unanimously taken by the leadership of the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO), reported BGNES. ''The Top Ten Plovdiv Open Bulgaria is the new WAKO European Kickboxing Cup in 2024. The tournament will be held from April 18 to 21 in the multifunctional sports hall in Plovdiv," said the Bulgarian representatives in WAKO Ivan Georgiev and Denitsa Milenkova.

‘''There are plenty of reasons to be satisfied with our new partner. I can say that this will be a fantastic Cup’’, said Istvan Kiraly, President of WAKO Europe Kickboxing Federation.

According to the President of the Bulgarian Confederation of Kickboxing, Galin Dimov, this is a huge recognition for Bulgarian sports. More than 1,500 kickboxers participate at the European Cups held four times a year.
